Volunteers
NARIX is 100% volunteer-run via our Steering Committee and five additional committees/teams. Each Committee is staffed with a chair member from the Steering Committee who ensures the committees are properly staffed and supported with the resources they need.
How to become a volunteer at an event:
When you fill out your initial application to NARIX, there will be a space to offer to volunteer at the event with one of our committees. Once your application has been accepted, and your spot at the event has been confirmed, you will be placed ideally in either your first or second choice placement in one of the following roles:
Medical/First Aid Team ~ on-site medical help for non-emergency concerns
Community Care Team ~ on-site emotional advocates and incident reporting
Check-In ~ assistants to get all of the attendees their badges at check-in
Board Faerie ~ assistants to the Board Daddy
Kitchen Crew ~ our food committee helpers to assist in getting meals ready for attendees
Quest Reciever ~ a-little-bit-of-everything helpers
Once you have served as an event volunteer, you are welcome to apply to a committee as spots open to work behind the scenes before, during, and after the event.
